Marie’s Story

“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the race day yesterday - it was amazing and Marie is proud of all her accomplishments. We’re calling the grandparents this afternoon so she can tell them all about it! It was a great day, really well managed and the perfect end to a brilliant year. Thursdays have become Marie’s favourite day because she gets to stay after school for her running and reading session and she always comes home enthused about what she has done. Her reading and comprehension have improved dramatically but I’m most happy to see the confidence boost it has given her.”

Junior Coach Yanni’s Story

“I wanted to email you and thank you hugely for the program! Yanni had such an amazing time at the 5K race [Calgary]! It was his first time ever running, he was 11th (kids) and 26th including adults! At 12pm he characterized it as "one of his most fulfilling days so far!" adding that "it is still only 12pm! I still have so much time to do so much more!" The program has inspired him and has been an overall fantastic opportunity! He is in grade 8 next year. Thank you again!!.”

She was in so much shock, in the car she told me Miss Y gave me a box and said there’s a note inside that explains it, so I said ohhhhh maybe it’s a new project we have to do. So when we got home and she checked it out, we were all speechless.”
