Our Programs
Our evidence-based programs are founded on the belief that no child has ever gone of the rails when someone has genuinely cared about them. Combining physical, mental, social and academic enrichment, we provide children with the tools they need to succeed.
Running & Reading Club+
The Running & Reading Club+ is a preventative, evidence-based after-school learning program proven to holistically address mental health, physical activity and literacy gaps among equity-deserving children in grades 1–6.
Brainworx! Virtual Learning Program
Hosted on Start2Finish’s fully customized technology platform, Brainworx! is an accessible, trauma-informed online solution that empowers youth to be well and thrive, no matter where they are.
Junior Coach Leadership Development Program
The Junior Coach Leadership Development Program is for youth in grades 7-8 who are navigating the challenging middle school “transition years”. The program addresses a number of aspects of well-being during this critical time in order to help youth make a smooth transition to high school.
Indigenous Programming
Start2Finish supports the provision of culturally relevant programming and curriculum for school-aged First Nations, Métis and Inuit children, working to collaborate with Indigenous schools/centres to build programs aimed at improving education attainment levels and success rates.
School-Led Programs
The School-Led Running & Reading Club puts the power in your hands. If you're a principal, teacher, or school staff member who believes every child deserves access to quality literacy and well-being programming — you can make it happen right in your own school.
Backpack Program
The Backpack Program provides vital school supplies to thousands of kids who begin the school year without the proper essentials. Start2Finish partners with school boards and under-resourced schools across the nation to identify and equip students with the tools for a successful school year and beyond.
THRIVE! Programs
Our THRIVE! program offerings are ready-to-use literacy and wellness activities that are easy to implement, require minimal preparation, and are available at no cost to libraries and community centres. The THRIVE! curriculum focuses on supporting children ages 6–12 in building literacy skills through social-emotional learning themes.
The Daily 20
The Daily 20 is a culturally responsive video movement program that seamlessly integrates into classrooms, homes, or childcare settings, designed to get kids active and help schools and students (grades 1-8) meet federal and provincial Daily Physical Activity (DPA) guidelines.
