Volunteer Opportunities
Running & Reading Club
Volunteer in-person, after-school for 2 hours once per week, supporting children with physical activity (running and active games), literacy (reading and comprehension activities), social-emotional learning (SEL) discussions, and mentorship.
Special Events
Various one-day and short-term volunteer opportunities are available, such as our year-end challenge and local fundraising or training events. Bring your skills and experience to the volunteer role with more flexible hours that fit your schedule.
Brainworx Virtual Program
Volunteer online, after-school for 40-minute sessions twice per week. Sessions include movement, literacy activities, and mentoring, with an emphasis on social-emotional learning competencies (empathy, humility, teamwork, fairness, etc.).
Skilled Volunteering
Use your specialized skills to make a difference in your community. Skill-based volunteering can be a great experience to put on a résumé and, at the same time, help meet the needs of the children Start2Finish serves.
Junior Coach Program
Volunteer online (or in-person as the “Junior Coach Captain” within the R&R Club). Online sessions take place on Mondays for 1 hour after-school. The JC program is for Grades 7 & 8 youth and combines fitness, literacy and SEL with leadership skill building.
